Planning for Results

Effective planning requires the right information, clear communication and understanding the process. For Autodesk, makers of the industry standard for 3D BIM (building information modeling) software, our work started months before our crew arrived on site.

Collaborating with the client, architect, and general contractor, we identified the many challenges of the project, allowing for a clean retrofit of three tower floors to accommodate 200 Autodesk staff. Our expertise with BIM helped facilitate a partnership that paid dividends throughout the duration.

The unique architectural features of the building required significant collaboration on design elements and specification choices to help realize the overall vision.

McMillan Electric tackled a tight schedule with a comprehensive, on-site pre-fabrication strategy that freed up the workspace and cut installation time in half. The effort exceeded expectations and allowed other trades to expedite their timetables and get ahead of schedule.

Good planning, thanks to an amazing team, along with Autodesk’s own BIM software, were the keys to another successful job.
